Today we’re going to lighten it up a bit. I share three valuable “poop” stories that taught me some lessons that were simply too good to keep all to myself.

SHOW NOTES…

S.O.L. STORY #1: Recently I took out my little rescue Yorkie, Stela, for her morning potty break. As she was about to do her business, I wasn’t paying attention. So when she finished, I couldn’t find it! I searched everywhere, and finally chose to simply pretend that I picked up after my dog. (Please don’t tell my neighbors.)

S.O.L. STORY #2: I went to Whole Foods with my daughter, and attempted to use the restroom…I walked in on an older gentleman that had forgotten to lock the door. Oh my goodness, I felt this surge of awkward embarrassment, and felt the need to say, “Sorry!” So much for being UNAPOLOGETIC, huh? (See EPISODE 34.)

S.O.L. STORY #3: After seeing that the older man had left the store, I made another attempt at using the restroom. As I proceeded to the restroom I had just left, I noticed that the man hadn’t flushed the toilet, and it was a MESS! So I quickly did a 180 degree turn, and left the restroom.

No sooner than I did, a young man (late 20’s) walks in as I’m coming out. Instantly I felt the need to let him know that I wasn’t the one responsible for “THAT”…and warned him NOT to go in.

He looked at me, dazed and confused. Then I realized that the young man was completely stoned, and could barely look at me, let alone speak (or understand what I was telling him.) He went in anyways, despite my explanation.

I was laughing and still feeling awkward. However, I was finally able to use the restroom next door.

What’s my point in sharing all these Craptacular Stories with you?

I’m glad you asked.

Lesson #1: Where in your life do you know there’s “CRAP”, but you can’t find it? So you don’t take care of it and, instead, you pretend. You go through the motions, because you’re afraid of what others are going to think.

Look for it. Find it. Take care of it. Move on. Regardless of what others think.

Lesson #2: Where have you walked in on someone else’s crap, and you feel the need to apologize for it?

Their crap is their crap. It’s not your responsibility.

We do NOT have to apologize for someone else’s crap!

Lesson #3: When you feel as though you’re being blamed for someone else’s crap, are you speaking up? Or are you continuing to take responsibility for someone else’s crap?

Is it possible that the person you think is “blaming” you for crap, is actually completely unaware and in their OWN WORLD? (That young man wasn’t thinking about me or that crap. He was simply attempting to take care of his own.)

If you’re being blamed for someone else’s crap, SPEAK UP.

And whatever you do, DON’T BLAME someone else for your crap. Deal with your own crap. Go in. Flush if you have to.

Look for it. Find it. Be done. Move on.

It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, because ALL OF US HAVE CRAP. We all have those things that pile up in our lives, and it stinks…perhaps it’s “stinking thinking.”

Uncover and discover. Stop making apologies for it. It’s okay.

Answer the following questions:

1. Where are you aware there’s crap in your life, but you’re not taking care of it? (You’re pretending that it’s not there. You’re pretending like you’ve picked it up, and are going through the motions?)

2. Where in your life are you walking in on someone else’s crap, and you’re apologizing for it?

3. Where are you not speaking up, and you’re taking responsibility for someone else’s crap?
