Today we talk about what to do when certain emotions (especially ANGER) come ”knocking on your door” and how to answer them…
How often do you feel anger and what do you do about it?
There are 6 primary emotions…
Happiness, sadness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust.
A more recent study by Glasgow University proposes that there are actually 4 basic emotions, based on facial expressions.
Happy, sad, afraid/surprised, and angry/disgusted.
I like to think of it as…
Glad. Sad. Mad. Bad.
We wouldn’t tell someone to NOT feel glad, yet we tell people to NOT feel sad, mad, or bad.
Why is that?
Because they’re uncomfortable.
And they can make us feel sad, mad, or bad.
Years ago I created this strategy for the feeling of ANGER.
