Today’s somewhat of a continuation of yesterday’s EPISODE 162: eMotion — Passion Or Poison? I shared a powerful strategy for processing your emotions and dealing with emotional pain. If you haven’t yet listened to it, I encourage you to do so.

After I finished the podcast I was remembering where and when I first discovered this process, and wanted to share this with you.

Originally I used the T.E.A.R.S. Technique for physical pain — lower back pain to be specific. Even though I didn’t give this process a name back then, all I knew was that it worked.

And it’s worked for countless number of patients, as well as coaching clients, ever since then.

When you feel pain, allow your T.E.A.R.S. to help you.

Once you locate exactly where you’re feeling pain…

T- Talk to the pain.

Ask it why it’s there, and what lesson(s) it has to teach you.

E- Experience the pain.

Give it a shape and color. See it and feel it.

A- Acknowledge + Appreciate the pain and how you feel about it.

Thank it for showing up to teach you.

R- Release the pain.

Give it permission to go, and wish it farewell.

S- Show up + SIP…on your life.

Rest in your feeling and healing.

Continue to show up in your life.

Be well.
