This is an episode that you’re going to want to return to again and again. Especially when your heart and life are in need of healing. (Warning! This may be contagious…)
Do you need to become the great laugher of your life?
Today’s been a tough day. I was asked to recall many painful details regarding the car accident that killed both my parents. It wasn’t easy.
Remembering painful events is painful. Period.
It reminds me of how incredible laughter can be in times of loss, pain, and sorrow.
Laughter is incredible for every occasion. Perhaps that’s why we can laugh so hard that we cry and cry so hard we laugh.
Life can be funny that way.
Dear Kim McMillen reminds us, “When I loved myself enough I could see how funny life is, how funny I am, and how funny you are.”
So today I’m going to share with you a few of my great laughs.
Laughter really is good medicine. The only side effects may be side aches and laugh lines on your face. All worth it!
The next time you get laughing real hard, grab your phone and record it. You may need it at a later date. And if you feel like you’d like to share it, please email me a voice memo of you laughing and I’ll laugh with you! (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Yes, you don’t have to laugh alone either. We cry together and we laugh together. That’s what we do here at S.O.L.
(This is the continuation of our Enough Is Enough Series — based on the profound little book, When I Loved Myself Enough by Kim McMillen and Alison McMillen-Givnish. You can order a copy HERE.)

TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP:
Take some time today to laugh. Enjoy. And share your joy with others. Life really is funny, and so are we.
